Material Needed:
-Pencil
-Eraser
-Ruler
-Scissors
-Ball Point Pen
-Sharpie (felt tip marker)
-Colored Pencil
-Masking Tape
-11 x 17 inch cardstock
-11 x 17 graph paper
-Tacky glue
-12 x 12 cardboard (mount house before it is subjected to Hurricane Bell.
-Leaf blower
Pre-work:
Day 1
Not so good...Now you will teach children how to incorporate tabs in their cube design.
Day 2
Day 3 - Day 5
Let's start! Do this together with the kids. Step by step.
This diagram is using the larger measurement.
Walls: 5 + 5+ 3 + 3 = 16. So make your horizontal line 16" long.
This is 3 1/2"
At the conclusion of this program the STEM teacher put the houses on a stand and took a leaf blower to see what one he could "blow" up. The ones that stood the winds, won.
