Bald Eagle


Book:

The Bald Eagle by Julie Murray


Craft:

The eagle craft is a wonderful paper craft to make for the 4th of July. It is a great way to teach your kids about our national bird and what it stands for. You could even add a little red, white and blue to the eagle to make it even more patriotic!


Material:

  • Scissors

  • Black sharpie

  • Pencil

  • Glue stick

  • Hand Print Eagle Template printed on white card stock

  • Googly eyes

  • 1 piece of Yellow construction paper

  • 2 pieces of brown construction paper

  • 1 piece of white construction paper



Directions:

  • Print and cut out template on white cardstock.

  • Trace eagle head on white construction paper.

  • Trace feet and peak on yellow construction paper and cut out.

  • Trace body on brown construction paper and cut out.

  • Trace child's hands onto brown construction paper and cut out.

  • Assemble the eagle.

  • Draw toe/tail lines with marker. See example below:
