Craft: Gingerbread Man Ornament
Materials
Recycled Paper Bag or Craft Paper
Yarn
Whole Puncher
Scissors
Black Marker
Gingerbread Man template
Plastic needle
Holiday ribbon
1. Print out Gingerbread man template on white card stock. Cut out and use as a pattern.
2. Using recycled paper from a Paper Bag or brown craft paper, trace two gingerbread men per child.
3. Use a whole punch to make an outline around the Gingerbread Man. Be careful not to make the holes too close to each other or to the edges.
4. Have child color gingerbread man.
5. Use thin holiday colored ribbon to attach the two pieces of brown paper or cardboard together. Show child how to use the over cast stitch.
6. Tie ribbon on top so it can be hung on a tree or window sill.
Make gingerbread cookies.
Provide icing and sprinkles for children to decorate and take home a gingerbread cookie.
